Week 2 of my recaps and I am already falling behind! This week was again mostly focussed on running. I really need to harden up and get out on the bike in the cold mornings!
On Sunday morning I headed up to West Head for the MWCC monthly race. I entered in C-Grade, which races from Akuna Bay and then does a couple of laps of West Head. Racing went well until my rear derailleur jammed at the turn around at the end of the first lap. This caused me to stop for a minute to fix it. By this point the bunch was gone so I pretty much rode solo to the finish passing up a couple of riders on the way through.
Another week mostly focussed on running trails. I am starting to build volume (slowly) clocking off 25k’s. Plan is to get back to my normal 40k’s per week pretty quickly as I am well and truely in the lead up period to my 70.3 Ironman on the Sunshine Coast in early September.
It’s time to get back into the pool if I am serious about going under 5h on the Sunshine Coast!
And in Sustainability…
