Weekly Recap #22

1 week to the Buffalo Stampede… and 2 till Mt Solitary Ultra!

I missed last weeks update so this post covers the 2 weeks through to the end of Easter.

I completed my compulsory gear pack (mostly) for TNF100 so my focus had been on getting in some distance running longish hilly runs with my pack on. Each week I have also been working in a combination of shorter hard or easy runs depending on the day of the week.  Monday runs tend to be easier.  After my run streak in the lead up to 6ft, I have also been making sure I have a rest day each week.

One feature of my longish runs has been the Bantry Bay stairs. I still have a long way to go but I am consistently feeling stronger on them each time.

My Hokas keep on getting better on each run and my UD SJ pack is feeling pretty comfortable, although I do seem to get a little bit of nipple rub.

I also logged another 200+k month in March. Something like 20% of my total lifetime running has been in the last 3 months!

In other news, Ned lined up for the third and final Go Triathlon at Manly Dam and he set a 1min PB for the course. His strong leg remains by far the bike!

We also went on a short family geocache exploration in Manly Dam on the Easter Monday holiday. We found 2 caches. I guess you can call it tapering!
