Installment #4 is already here. Wow time flies.
No races this week. I had originally planned to take Ned down to Heffron for the Juniors and have another go at the criterium before going to the Waratahs rugby semi-final however bad weather in the morning saw a change of plans (Ned and I still made it to the Rugby and watch the Tahs wing and secure a home final).
I managed single cycle commute to work this week and a bunch of trail runs. All up 37km including 17k’s around Manly Dam and Bantry Bay. I am really enjoying the steep climbs and working on digging deep to maintain a good speed up. I am even getting some decent results on the Strava sectors which is pleasing given how much training goes on in Manly dam and the fact that the Sydney Trail Series runs through the place. Things are looking good for my Southern Highlands 50k prep.
Saturdays Training Run
Also loving both pairs of Salomons having already logged over 100k’s between them.
Unsurprisingly… I’m still not back swimming… It will happen though!
The family also went geocaching on Sunday up at North Head. It’s amazing how many cool things you “discover” having lived in the area for so long and never really taken the time to explore some of these places. We found 1 out of 3 caches we were looking for which is by my reckoning a pass (or at least not a fail!). I also had a play with Magic Lantern on my EOS 550d including some raw photos using ETTR and raw video. Need to work on my post processing skills however.
